Great Keppel Island is not just a beautiful tourist destination, it also boasts of excellent food and wine experiences. Here are some places to check out:

• The Waterline Restaurant: This is one of the best restaurants on the island, located at Keppel Bay Marina. They serve a variety of dishes including seafood, steak and vegetarian options. The views of the marina from the restaurant are stunning.
• The Hideaway Kitchen: This restaurant is located on the west side of the island, and serves up delicious woodfired pizzas, seafood, and other tasty dishes. The beer and wine list is also a highlight.
• The GKI Holiday Village Bistro: This is a great spot for casual dining, offering classic pub fare and great views of the ocean.
• The Fisherman's Beach Kiosk: This take away establishment is perfect for grabbing some fish and chips or a burger to take down to the beach for a picnic. The kiosk is located right on the sand at Fisherman's Beach.
• The Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary: While not strictly a dining establishment, Cooberrie Park offers a fantastic opportunity to try some Australian bush tucker, including emu, crocodile, and kangaroo sausages. They also have a gift shop where you can purchase Australian wine.

No trip to the island is complete without sampling some of the local wines. The two wineries on the mainland that are closest to Great Keppel Island are:

• Rosslyn Bay Resort and Keppel Bay Sailing Club: Located on the mainland, these two establishments share the same wine list, featuring wines from Queensland's Granite Belt and other regions across Australia.
• Canteen Creek Vineyard and Cellar Door: This winery is located about an hour's drive from Great Keppel Island, but is worth the journey if you're a wine lover. They offer tastings and sales of their own handcrafted wines, as well as other Australian wines.

If you're looking for coffee or a light bite to eat, there are several cafes on the island, including The Beach Club and The Great Keppel Island Hideaway. Both offer great views and refreshments.
